VLT SITE: STILL OUTSTANDING?

Paranal is a site which provides a photometric sky 78% of the available nighttime. Outside seeing can remain in the range 0.3-0.5 arcsec several hours in a row. However such conditions nowadays appear less often than 5-10 years ago, why?....a study of climate cycles attempts to bring together some pieces of the puzzle
