GIRAFFE: Fibre efficiency curves

These plots show the extracted fibre efficiency per setting. The fibre flats are extracted by the pipeline into a normalized efficiency.

Below is shown the efficiency for the (arbitrarily selected) fibre #10, along with the average from all fibres (SIMCAL fibres excluded). In order to give an impression of the chromatic effects, the efficiency plotted here is transformed into flux by scaling the efficiency with the factor (mean_raw / exposure time).

These curves essentially measure the efficiency of the grating and the filter. Hence we show plots for the Medusa2 slit only. Curves for the other slits look very much the same.

The HR curves apply for the "new" grating in use since 2003-10-10.

The settings redward of about 651.5 show significant fringing, the amplitude of which can be seen in the single-fibre tracings.

The fibre signal in the LR settings shows medium-scale ondulations.
