Technology Transfer is being actively promoted by the European Competitiveness Council (comprising ministers of research, education and industry/economy) as an essential element of improving European competitiveness. It is also given as a goal in the Charter of EIROforum of which ESO is a member.
Technology Transfer has been identified as one of the core activities at many European organisations such as CERN, EMBL, ESA and ESRF, where a proactive approach is taken to promote spin-off technologies. |
