It will be the responsibility of the Operations Team comprising, Paranal and DMD staff. INS will be responsible for instrument performance and upgrades through the Instrument Scientist and mixed support teams. During this phase the DFIR ensures that the pipeline is operating correctly. S/he performs further regular quality checks and trend analysis as stipulated in the Calibration Plan and related documents and specified by the Instrument Scientist. In case of any suspected anomalies, the DFIR brings them to the attention of the Instrument Scientist, who, after consultation with other members of the Mixed Team in charge, decides about the remedial actions to be taken. The Instrument Scientist will be responsible for the quality of the input to the pipeline, the DFIR for its output.
