Our team forms a department in ESO's
Instrumentation Division
and is in charge of developing, installing and monitoring
the optical detector systems for ESO's
La Silla and
Paranal
observatories in Chile. It also contributes the detector systems
to instruments built by ESO external consortia. The cryostats we
use are supplied by the
Integration
and Cryo-vacuum Department of the
Instrumentation Division.
Infrared detector systems are the responsibility of the
Infrared Detector
Department.
