Assembling the ESO 1-metre telescope
Photo of the assembly of the pre-fabricated building for the ESO 1-metre telescope after its arrival at the new La Silla Observatory in Chile in the late 1960’s. The La Silla Observatory has since become one of the premier ground-based observatories in the world.
