Snímek pořízený teleskopem APEX (Atacama Pathfinder Experiment) v Chile přináší nový pohled na oblaka kosmického prachu v oblasti souhvězdí Orion. Zatímco ve viditelném světle tyto útvary vypadají temné, kamera LABOCA dalekohledu APEX je schopná zachytit tepelné záření částic prachu a odhalit tak skrytá místa zrodu nových hvězd. Jeden z těchto tmavých oblaků je však trochu jiný, než ostatní.
