Nový snímek pořízený dalekohledem ESO/VISTA zachycuje kosmickou krajinu plnou zářících oblaků plynu a cárů prachu obklopujících mladé horké hvězdy. Na tomto infračerveném záběru je v překvapivých nových detailech zachycena hvězdná porodnice známá pod označením NGC 6357. Snímek byl pořízen v rámci přehlídky Mléčné dráhy prováděné v současnosti pomocí dalekohledu VISTA, jejímž úkolem je mapování struktury Galaxie a vysvětlení jejího původu.
