Poslední parabolická anténa pro projekt radioteleskopu ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array) byla předána observatoři. Vyrobilo ji evropské konsorcium AEM a jedná se zároveň o poslední 25. anténu vyrobenou v Evropě. Výroba těchto zařízení byla dosud největším realizovaným kontraktem ESO.
