Me tiedämme, että ihmisten ikääntymisen nopeus on vain löyhästi sidoksissa heidän todelliseen ikäänsä — sillä on todennäköisesti enemmän tekemistä heidän elämäntyylinsä kanssa. Sekä ESO:n La Sillan observatorion MPG/ESO 2.2-metrin teleskooppia että NASA:n ja ESA:n Hubblen avaruusteleskooppia käyttänyt uusi tutkimus paljastaa, että sama pätee myös tähtijoukoille.
