Tämä dramaattinen, uusi kuva Orionin tähdistön kosmisista pilvistä paljastaa taivaalliselta tulinauhalta näyttävän kohteen. Tämä oranssi hohde edustaa kylmän tähtienvälisen tomun hiukkasista tulevaa himmeää valoa, ihmissilmälle näkymättömillä pitkillä aallonpituuksilla. Sen havaitsi ESO:n hallinnoima APEX-teleskooppi (Atacama Pathfinder Experiment).
