Cerro Armazones home of the future E-ELT
After years of thorough site testing, Cerro Armazones is the chosen site for the construction of the European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT). In the top of this mountain, a gigantic dome, 100 metres in diameter, will enclose a 39-metre segmented mirror in what will be ESO’s flagship facility for the next decades.
