AT4
One of the VLT's Auxiliary Telescopes, AT4, stands on the platform at Paranal. Star trails can be seen in the sky overhead, and the glow of nearby towns on the horizon, beyond the mountain peaks — one of the only sources of light pollution in this secluded spot.
