Danish 1.54-metre telescope at La Silla
This is the housing of the Danish 1.54-metre telescope that has been in use at La Silla since 1979. It was completely overhauled in 1993 and is now equipped with the Danish Faint Object Spectrograph and Camera spectrograph/camera. Behind it we can see the decommissioned MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope and the decommissioned ESO 1-metre Schmidt telescope.
