The First Auxiliary Telescope on its Way to the Observing Platform
The VLTI Auxiliary Telescope no. 1 is trucked to the top of the Paranal mountain. The Auxiliary Telescope has a mirror of 1.8m diameter, and weighs about 33 tonnes.
