VISIR mounted behind the 8.2m-Mirror of Melipal
VISIR was mounted on the third VLT telescope "Melipal" on April 27th 2004. The approximately 1.6 tons of VISIR appear much smaller once mounted behind the enormous 8.2-m diameter mirror of Melipal.
