Asymmetries in the Coma of Comet Hyakutake
This false-colour photo demonstrates the asymmetry, now apparent in the coma of Comet C/1996 B2 (Hyakutake). This comet made a close approach to the Earth (15 million kilometres) on March 25, 1996.
