The modernistic building houses the Office of the Director General and its associated functional units, e.g. the Visiting Astronomers' Section, the Office for Science and the education and Public Outreach Department. Here are also the Instrumentation Division, the Data Management and Operations Division, the ALMA Division, the Telescope Support Division, the Technology Division, the Administration, as well as the Space Telescope European Coordination Facility.
