HAWK-I integration

HAWK-I (High Acuity Wide field K-band Imager) is an infrared camera installed on Yepun, the 4th Unit Telescope of the VLT. It combines a quite large field of view, high sensitivity and superb image quality of the VLT, making it the ideal instrument to discover very faint objects, such as distant galaxies and the faintest stars in our galaxy. On the picture, HAWK-I is being integrated: a light baffle is inserted on the light path.
