DG Tim de Zeeuw
Tim de Zeeuw, whose ten-year service as ESO Director General started in September 2007, was born in the Netherlands. His research concentrates on the formation, structure and dynamics of galaxies, including our own, the Milky Way. Here he is in front of a picture of Cerro Paranal (the highest peak), with the lodging and visitor centre to the right, and VISTA to the left.
