ELT model
This image shows a small model (you can get an idea of scale from the foot in the top left) of the future Extremely Large Telescope (ELT). The ELT will be built atop Cerro Armazones, in the Chilean Andes. With a primary mirror of 39 metres it will be the largest optical/infrared telescope in the world — the world's biggest eye on the sky.
