APEX Image Calendar, December 2010 — Chajnantor at Sunrise
A very cold sunrise at the APEX Telescope after a snowstorm on the Chajnantor plateau in Chile's Atacama region. APEX looks at the cold, dusty, and distant Universe, often difficult to observe with other types of telescopes.
