The M1 cell of UT4-YEPUN, and SINFONI
Every day, before the observations start, each telescope undergoes a complete start up during which each of its function is checked, like a plane before take off. Here, Yepun, the fourth Unit Telescope, has been moved to a very low altitude, revealing the cell holding its main mirror and the SINFONI integral-field spectrograph.
