Signature of the agreement between DGAC and ESO

Prof. Félix Mirabel, the former ESO Representative in Chile (centre) gives a gift to General Jose Huepe, Director General DGAC (on the right) and to Mr. Hector Barrientos, Director of DASA (on the left). This was part of the ceremony of signature of the agreement between the Chilean Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) and ESO regarding the usage of the VLT’s Laser Guide Star. The agreement was signed on 4 August 2008, at ESO’s Paranal Observatory.
