ESOcast 57: il VLT dell'ESO celebra 15 anni di successi
Il 25 maggio 2013 è un anniversario importante per il Very Large Telescope - esattamente quindici anni dopo la prima luce sul primo dei suoi quattro telescopi (UT). Da allora ai quattro telescopi giganti originali si sono aggiunti i quattro piccoli telescopi ausiliari che fanno parte del l'interferometro VLT (VLTI). Il VLT è uno dei più potenti e produttivi impianti astronomici terrestri esistenti. Nel 2012 sono stati pubblicati più di 600 articoli su riviste con referee basate sui dati del VLT e VLTI. Questo ESOcast mostra le immagini spettacolari dal VLT scelte nei vari anni del suo funzionamento.
