Ved hjelp av Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) har astronomer for første gang oppdaget at de ytre delene av en støvete skive omkring en brun dverg inneholder millimeterstore støvkorn av den typen man finner i tettere skiver rundt nyfødte stjerner. Det overraskende funnet utfordrer teorier om hvordan steinplaneter på størrelse med Jorda dannes. Det kan hende steinplaneter er enda mer vanlige i universet enn forventet.
