The
European Section of the International Occultation Timing Association
(IOTA/ES)
will announce in a short period of time a special project to
measure the size and shape of asteroids by observing stellar occultations
from different parts of europe. We think, that this will be an
interesting project to all groups, but specifically to those interested
in the solar system. Because we got notice only relativly short of the
AOL, up to now a joint program is not ready yet. But we hope to be able
to finish the preparations in one week or so.

In the meantime, all of you can get information about IOTA and about the
determination of asteroidal sizes and shapes by visiting our two
homepages in the USA, the URL's are:
