Astronomy On-Line Communications Archive: How to use it?
The Astronomy On-Line Communications Archive is a very powerful
facility by means of which you will be able to search and retrieve
messages sent between Participating Groups.
Here you will find some information about how to use it efficiently. The Astronomy On-Line Communications Archive contains copies of the E-mails which have been sent by participants according to the established procedure (see the How to send Email? explanatory page). With the help of the keywords, for instance topic category or Group Designation, they can be sorted and messages which concern topics in which you are interested may then be listed. You can search for such keywords by means of the Archive Search Engine, that is available below. Or you can click one of the buttons on the main Archive Page to see a list of all messages which concern this topic category. The messages may be sorted in different ways: by author (sender), chronologically (by date), by subject and by `thread'. The latter refers to messages which have been sent as replies to earlier messages - this then makes it easy to follow the exchange. Try to search for a topic by means of the Search Engine below. You type in a word and you will then receive a list with all files in which this word is present. You may then access the files of your choice by simply clicking on the names.
