| Group Description | The Student's Astronomical Club "Urania" has began to act recently after the foundation of the Sofia University in 1888 and the Department of Astronomy in 1893. The Club consolidate undergraduate and postgraduatestudents from different universities, young scientists and amateur astronomers. In its activity up to now the Club was always emphasized on the educational development, professional realization and international relations. In accordance with this ideas the Club organizes weekly seminars of invited leading astronomers in wide area of topics, assists in preparing of short observational runs for undergraduates. The Club in collaboration with other universities and institutes holds research programs and expeditions in related fields. |
