| Group Description | The Rama de Astronomia (RASTRO) was created at 1993. It objective is to increase the students knowledge on astronomy, starting with support from teachers, academic personal, authorities, and many many many heterogeneous students. Since 1993, RASTRO has grown to its upper limit: actually, the RASTRO members are more of 25 dedicated persons. RASTRO is an activity supported by Universidad de Concepcion (Chile), and one of its more important faculties: Facultad de Ingenieria. Mainly, RASTRO has oriented its works to science divulgation, mounting astronomy shows and exhibitions in schools and commercial centers. At now, we are preparing a handbook about Moon observation. We hope the material we are preparing, it will serve to all the astronomy amateur comunity. |
