| Group Description | "Ptolemy" is a group within the group "Dreams Workshop" (DW). DW is an Environmental Education programme where students from the three classes of the school together with parents and teachers participate in activities related to the space's objects and events. The programme's aims are the following: -to enrich student's knowledge about the space, -to develop the students' fantasy and creativity and, through these skills, to propose the students new models of thinking, acting and solving daily problems, -to give parents, students and teachers who participate in the programme the opportunity to come closer and understand each other. The programme consists of: -meetings and discussions on subjects of astronomy, -observations of objects and events on the sky with unaided eyes, binoculars and small telescopes (moon, constellations, planets, comets, etc.), -subjects from mythology, history, literature and music which are related to the sky, visits to scientific institutions sych as observatories and planetarium, -group activities which develop communication skills. |
