| Group Description | Osterportskolan (=East Gate School) is situated in Ystad, a small town on the Baltic Sea in southmost Sweden. It is an upper secondary school (ages 16-19) with more than 2200 students. Our astronomy group consists mainly of students from the natural science program but some of us study social science. We have just started our studies in astronomy as an optional subject. At last: Sweden is a small country in northern Europe and we have the North Pole Star high up in the sky but no polar bears in our streets. |
