In its meeting on September 14, 1996, the Astronomy On-Line International Steering Committee decided on a tentative schedule for the main activities and events of this Programme.
This schedule aims at providing the participants with a variety of activities which keeps the programme lively and exciting. By gradual implementation of the various components, this will also spread the load on the organisers over a longer period. Moreover, from the experience gained during the initial weeks, it will hopefully be possible to avoid any last-minute problems before the climax of the Astronomy On-Line programme during the critical Phases 2 and 3.
Some of the principal events are indicated in the Table below. Please note that this information is provisional only. Changes may (have to) be made due to unexpected developments, in the sky as well as on the ground. If so, the table will be updated accordingly and without delay.
