Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias joins Astronomy On-Line

As of today, you will find a very interesting link to the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias, Tenerife, Spain, which is frequently referred to as the IAC.

The IAC is making available is the 82cm IAC-80 Telescope, at Teide Observatory, Tenerife, Spain, for use by Astronomy On-Line participants.

This telescope is a professional instrument, normally used by the astronomers at the IAC for their research activities.

Like almost all modern professional instruments, it is a Cassegrain reflecting telescope, with a CCD camera mounted on the telescope, just below its main mirror, which is 82cm in diameter.

Staff astronomers at Teide Observatory will make observations based on your requests.
