Welcome from Worth Hill Observatory, Dorset, U.K. Clear skies here tonight allowed us a good view of Comet Hale-Bopp even though moonlight is now hindering visual observations. The image shown below is a 2x40 sec exposure of Hale-Bopp with 50cm F/4 Newtonian + SX CCD.
The comet is now showing enhanced jet activity. In addition to the three prominent jets to the north/northeast we are also seeing a curved jet appearing due west at PA 275.
