| Title | NGC 891 - which way is it rotating ? |
| Proposing Group(s) | Soenderborg School Observatory |
Abstract: NGC 891 is one of the most prominent edge-on galaxies in the Northern Sky. A reliable estimate of dopplershift along line of sight in Northern and Southern outskirt would enable students to perform an estimate the mass of a most well-known amateur object.
General Comments: Good proposal, but its feasibility is subjected to the availability of a spectrograph.
Visibility:The object is well visible.
Special Comments:
Expected time consumption (including overhead): Depending on the telescope to be used; about 1-2 hours for a 1-m class telescope.
Proposed facility: Depending on the spectrograph availability.
