Full Text of Proposal

Comments by OPC

General Comments: The scope of the proposal is not clear. It seems that the applicants want to image the spectroscopic binary system Capella and compare their results with spectroscopic and interferometric information. But they do not explain how and which information they are aiming for.

Visibility: Capella is visible.

Special Comments: The star is much too bright for direct imaging with a 0.5 - 1.0m class telescope.

Expected time consumption (including overhead):Not clear how many observations are needed, but they should be nearly instantaneous given the brightness of the object.

Proposed facility:Perhaps the smallest available telescope, or the Bradford telescope using the neutral density filter.
