| Title | Cataclysmic variable TT Arietis |
| Proposing Group(s) | Ralitsai |
Abstract: This is a short-period cataclysmic variable. Making 4-hour estimations in U,B,V filters we want to investigate colour changes (U- B, B-V). We also want to precise the orbital motion and explore the flickering of the star. That's why we'd like to be made 5-hour patrols in 3 consequent nights.
General Comments: The applicants ask for 3 periods of 5 hours continuous observations to monitor the CV TT Ari. Since the binary period is not listed in the proposal, it is difficult to determine for us at which frequency the system has to be observed. If no observations of other groups can be included, this program would be practically impossible to execute.
Visibility:TT Ari is visible.
Special Comments: It is impossible to derive the orbital motion of the binary components using photometry only.
Expected time consumption (including overhead): Depends on the observing frequency.
Proposed facility:As requested by the authors, the 80 cm telescope in Wendelstein with the MCCP photometer, if available.
