This area contains software which is needed to solve some of the
problems that are available on the Astronomy On-Line pages.
You will find here instructions about how to use the software, but you
should also take a look at the problem itself.
This software (3 files) will enable you to calculate the value of the D parameter, needed for the 3-dimensional method according to which you determine the distance to the Moon by means of observations of the solar eclipse on October 12, 1996.
This QBASIC programme will enable you to perform the calculations in connection with the 2-D method for observations of the solar eclipse on October 12, 1996.
This Pascal source code is needed for the Collaborative Project that aims at the detemination of the distance of the Sun.
