Beta Persei A is a blue-white main sequence star. It has an approximate mass 3.6 times greater then the Sun’s and about 2.88 times its diameter. It is about 98 times as bright as the Sun in the visible spectrum and has a rotational speed of 65 km/s. It is possible that the star is 300 million years old or younger.
