| Why do we want to explore Vesta? It is one of the largest asteroids in our Solar System. On clear nights, it can be observed with naked eye. It is controversial if Vesta is an asteroid or a planet. Thus, if we land on it, we might be able to solve the dilemma. It is proven that Vesta is rich of different metals and other natural resources. If we land on it, we will be able to take advantage of its resources and thus, save the nature on Earth from exhaustion. Furthermore, we will be able to better study its composition. As it is thought to resemble Earth in its early formation, we will be able to better understand the evolution of our planet in particular, as well as the evolution of all terrestrial planets. As Vesta is similar to the terrestrial planets, if we study it well enough, it may in the future turn to be alternative habitat for humans. The fact that Vesta represents an early model of the terrestrial planets, it may develop in the future and become an alternative to the Earth. Who knows? Therefore we should try to explore the asteroid Vesta better. Landing on it will provide us with insight about the past of our own planet!
