Why Betelgeuse?

...I have always loved stars and all that has pertained the universe. Choosing a star wasn't very simple, because there is a multitude of stars in the cosmos and each of them is unique. They are our primordial source of life and thanks to one of them, the sun, we can live; we depend on them, like charmed by a sunset without end, but at the same time, we are curious to understand what make the stars become so unique. After observing the cosmos, I decided to choose the constellation of Orion and particularly, Betelgeuse.

I believe that it is one of the most beautiful constellations to observe and one of the easiest to individualize for its brightness. I am very interested to the mythological study about this constellation; in fact, legends and myths make it become very surrealistic, and almost fantastic. One of the reasons that conducted me on this choice is the fact that there are a lot of points in common among the constellation and the story of some civilities, for example with the Egyptian. In fact, there is a relation between the disposition of the three stars of the belt of Orion and the disposition of the Egyptian pyramids of Cheope, Chefren and Micerino. This mysterious connection, explained me that also in that period the constellation was a sort of companion for people who observed it, charmed.
