Nuove suggestive osservazioni con il telescopio ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array) catturano per la prima volta i resti di una recente supernova ricca di polvere appena formata. Se una quantità sufficiente di questa polvere riesce a completare il rischioso passaggio verso lo spazio interstellare, potrebbe spiegare come molte galassie abbiano acquisito il loro aspetto scuro e "polveroso".
