ESO Movie 11: The ESO Very Large Telescope - Astronomy for the Future

The VLT is currently under construction in Europe and will be erected on Cerro Paranal, a 2640 metre high mountain in the Atacama desert in northern Chile. This video describes the VLT project and some of the research expectations linked to this most advanced scientific instrument.
