Stylistic Conventions

The following styles are used:

bold
in the text, for commands, file names, pre/suffixes as they have to be typed.

italic
in the text, for parts that have to be substituted with the real content before typing.

<name>
in the examples, for parts that have to be substituted with the real content before typing.
bold and italic are also used to highlight words.

The

symbol is used in sections that contain both for requirements and design information to identify specific design details.

In order to allow global and coherent cross referencing through all sectiong of the Online Document and of the printable documents:

Figure and table numbers are local to every chapter, i.e. they restart from 1 in every chapter. As a consequence references to figures and table indicate the name of the chapter they belong to.
Document references follow a global numbering scheme, as already described in the previous sections.
