Use Case:  Optimize Field Stabilization

Description:  Before Field stabilization can start Strap has to optimize the settings of various devices (NDF, AFD, Gate) according to the guide star..

Role(s)/Actor(s): 
Primary: Operator/Maintenance
Secondary: FSS

Priority: Major

Performance: A couple of seconds

Frequency: Before a preset when field stabilization was active, or at any time manually.

Package Assignment:  Field Stabilization.

Preconditions: 

• FSS sub-system is ONLINE
• FS is idle

Basic Course: 

• Send command OPTCGS to optimize Field Stabilization
  Exception Course: Command failed
• ATCS sends OPTIMIZ command to STRAP with guide star magnitude or flux and expected number of counts
• ATCS returns OK reply

Exception Course: Command failed

• ATCS returns ERROR reply

Postconditions: 

• FS is idle
