EIS Plan for Periods 68-71

The ESO Working Group (WG) for Public Surveys met on March 5-6, discussed the answers to the Call for Ideas for public surveys, and elaborated an observation plan for P68-P71. The users of ESO telescopes, especially those preparing wide imaging proposals for P68, may be interested in the Draft Minutes of the meeting, that have now been released. They contain the essential information on the observing plan for the Public Surveys as it will be submitted to OPC by April 3, 2001. The WG is currently drafting the proposal. If necessary, additional information can be obtained from the chairman of the WG (Joachim Krautter). Note that since the proposal is being submitted to the OPC, following OPC recommendations the actual implementation of the surveys may differ from the proposal itself.
