ESO Telescope Bibliography: A database of refereed papers that directly use ESO data. Papers that merely cite previously published results are not included.
Optics InfoBase: database of OSA's (Optical Society of America) peer-reviewed journals.

CDS portal. Allows to simultaneously search by position for available data in CDS services (Simbad, Aladin and VizieR) through a unique homogeneous Web interface. The SIMBAD astronomical database provides basic data, cross-identifications and bibliography for astronomical objects outside the solar system. Simbad mirror site at CfA Harvard.

CrossRef: cross-publisher, full text searches of the latest scholarly research. Participating publishers include IOP, The American Physical Society, Nature Publishing Group, Oxford University Press and others.

NTIS: U.S. Department of Commerce National Technical Information Service
STINET: The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC)'s Scientific and Technical Information Network (STINET) Service
ARIBIB: ARIBIB (ARI Heidelberg Bibliographical Data Base for Astronomical References) aims at presenting references to the literature from the remote past until the middle of the year 2000. Abstracts are not available. Database is discontinued.

STNEasy: Web access to selected databases provided by STN (via FIZ Karlsruhe). Command-based interface available via STN on the Web. Password protected; for searches, please contact the librarians.
NED: NED (NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database) includes an option for literature searches.
