The Friends of LISA (FOL) Committee asks for your donation to help
librarians from resource-poor countries to attend LISA VI in India in
February 2010. Funds raised will cover housing and registration fees and
in some rare cases travel expenses. We have asked vendors and big
institutions and now ask you.

In the past, the FOL Committee raised funds from many institutions and
individuals to the joy of grateful librarians from all over the world.
Funds raised by FOL for LISA IV, for example, allowed 33 librarians to
attend the meeting. Their attendance enriched the meeting itself, as
well as the individuals and institutions assisted.

This year we are asking all Astronomy librarians to make a small
contribution so that those who might never have a chance, can attend.

All donations will be acknowledged in conference materials.

The FOL committee thanks you in advance for making this effort
worthwhile!
