Title:Structured winds from hot stars Abstract: There are various, but indirect evidences that the radiation-driven winds from hot stars (O-type and Wolf-Rayet) are not homogeneous. We briefly review line-profile variability and X-ray production. \"Clumping on different scales also affects the integrated spectra, and thus the mass-loss diagnostics. However, the nature, morphology and characteristics of wind asymmetries and inhomogeneities are largely unknown. We discuss whether the structure of stellar winds may be directly observable with VLTI.
